Mrs. Shirley Ann-Bethe Ayre, age 84, of Bella Vista, Arkansas formally of Abilene, Kansas, passed away Monday November 18, 2019, at Highland Nursing and Rehab in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born January 29, 1935, in Elmo, Kansas to Harry L. and Anna Schrader Bethe. Mrs. Ayre worked as a real estate agent. Shirley and her late husband Lyle were members of the Talmage Methodist Church, then the Abilene First United Methodist Church and presently the First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Shirley moved to Abilene in 1958. until moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 1988. Shirley and her husband opened their business, Your Choice Realty, in 1992 and Lyle managed the rental property business. They moved to Hutchinson Realty in 2001. Lyle retired in 2005 when he could have more time for his hobbies including woodworking and gardening Mrs. Ayre was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyle L. Ayre, brothers, Kenneth Bethe, Robert Bethe and Willard Bethe. Mrs. Ayre is survived by her children, Cary L. Ayre of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Darvin L. Ayre of Boulder, CO, brothers, Douglas E. Bethe of Salina, Kansas, sisters, Judy Kennedy of Austin, Texas and Sue Hari of Dallas, Texas and two grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the 1st United Methodist Church in Abilene, Kansas with burial to follow in Abilene Cemetery District 1 in Abilene, Kansas.
