Memorial for Mildred Eyvonne Owens

Mildred Eyvonne Owens, age 81 of Springdale, Arkansas passed from this life, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born July 21, 1936 in the Martin Springs Community of Norfolk, Arkansas to Leon and Jewell Brannon Boyd. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wendell Lee Owens and brother, Doug Boyd. She was a wonderful, compassionate, Christian woman who loved everyday and everybody. We who are left behind feel such an ache in our hearts, but know she is happy with the reunion of all those who left before us! She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lowell “Buck” Owens; two daughters, Saundra Taylor and Glenda Owens of Springdale. Two grandsons, Noah Taylor of Colorado and K.J. Taylor of Springdale; two granddaughters, Claudia Rozell and husband Roger of Rogers and Deena Owens of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Owen; one sister, Norma Gloer and husband Ed of Rogers; four sisters in law, Trudy Gail Manning, Judy Dale Navarro, Sharon Boyd and Betty Ross; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces and nephews and a special caregiver, Kristi McCutcheon. Mildred was a faithful member of Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale; an avid gardener; loved to read and baby-sit those great grandbabies and redecorate her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3800 W.Walnut, Rogers.
