Mr. Dennis Leo Morgenstern, age 72, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Concordia Nursing and Rehab Center in Bella Vista, Arkansas. He was born January 14, 1947 in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Eugene and Bonnie Morgenstern. He graduated from Lawrence High School, Lawrence, KS, in 1965, Upon graduation, Dennis entered United States Marine Corp, serving three tours in Vietnam and a total of nine years in the Corp. After his service he attended Hutchinson Community Junior College. Dennis moved to Rogers, Arkansas, in 1987, where he owned and operated an electrical contracting company for 17 years, retiring in 2012. Dennis was introduced to Alcoholics Anonymous in 2003 and was an enthusiastic member until his passing. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Eugene. Survived by one sister, Pamela Newman, of Crozet, Virginia; two daughters, Sara Recheck and Laura Frisbie, both of Wichita; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one niece, Amy Katharine Nolasco, her husband Owen, and their two daughters, Grace and Molly. Visitation for Dennis will be 10:00 to 11:00am, Friday January 3, 2020, at Benton County Memorial Park. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, January 3, at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, Arkansas. Graveside will be held at 1:00pm, Friday January 3, 2020, at Fayetteville National Cemetery with Military honors. Arrangements by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home.
