Leslie Leon Carey, a beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 80 on May 18, 2017 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He was born on February 22, 1937 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Linda Lou Morgan in June of 1959 in Petersburg, Texas. Together they raised three beautiful daughters, Cheryl Lynette, Robin Lisa, and Jill Lorrayne. Les began his ministry in the churches of Christ in 1965. Throughout his service he has ministered in churches in Texas, Colorado and Mississippi. Even though he officially retired in 2011 when he and Linda moved to Siloam Springs, Arkansas to be nearer to family, he continued to minister to the church in Arkansas preaching on a part-time basis. Les also was blessed to serve as an Elder in the church in Siloam Springs before his health declined. Les was preceded in death by his dad John Wallace Carey and his mom Goldie Bill Carey; his daughter Cheryl Blackstock; and his brothers Wallace and Kenneth Carey. He is survived by his wife Linda Carey of Siloam Springs; his daughters: J’Anne Jackman and husband Doug of Lynnwood, Washington; Robin Shrimpton and husband Bobby; and Jill Hartman and husband Doug, both of Siloam Springs; along with 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
