BLANCHARD, Carolyn Rosa, “Cari" (Cook), age 68, formerly of Rogers, AR passed away Tuesday January 26, 2021. Cari was born in Dallas, TX on February 25, 1952 to W. Mozel Merritt and Calvin C. Cook. She was the youngest of five children. She was raised in Fort Smith, AR until she was a teenager when the family moved to Huntington Beach, CA. She received her AA in Computerized Accounting from Golden West College. At the age of 58, she went back to college and earned a BS in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Cari was an active member of Faith Family Church as well as the Music Ministry Director for various Christian Churches in the area. Cari used her education and training in her work with the local school districts. She was a school bus driver, and a substitute teacher for students with special needs. Her most recent work was as a Tutor for the ESOL Migrant Student Tutoring Program through Rogers School District. Cari’s was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and friend who loved to make others smile. She enjoyed singing, dancing, crafting, sewing, traveling, being there for those she loved, and ministering to others. She learned to play multiple instruments throughout her life beginning with the guitar at age 14. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Cook. and her son Jody Jay Wilkerson. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Mark Blanchard; daughter, Cara Weber and her husband Rich Weber; her step-sons; step-grandchildren; Siblings, Jack Cook, Lori Allen, and Becky Reid, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Service will be Saturday February 13, 2021at 2PM at Faith Family Church, 220 South 4th Street, Rogers, AR.479-644-6822. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Saving Grace, Inc. of NWA, or to the Ray Of Sunshine Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family at <>.
